What Is Managed Print?
Managed print is print delivered as a service. Instead of buying printers, ordering toner when someone notices a cartridge is empty, and paying for service calls as they happen, one provider takes responsibility for the entire imaging environment and bills a single predictable monthly fee that covers supplies, parts, labor, and the equipment itself.
The reason it matters is that almost nobody knows what printing actually costs them. Print spend hides in four or five places at once. A copier lease sits in accounts payable, toner goes on somebody's purchasing card, a break-fix invoice arrives from a vendor nobody remembers hiring, and none of that captures the staff hours lost every time a device fails mid-deadline. Consolidating all of it into one line item is often the first time leadership sees the real number.
Who Is Totalprint USA?
Totalprint USA is the managed print division of Dex Imaging, which operates the largest copier service footprint in the United States. TPUSA is vendor agnostic, with manufacturer relationships spanning HP, Konica Minolta, Canon, Kyocera, Brother, and Lexmark. That means equipment decisions get made on what actually fits your environment rather than on which brand a sales rep is quota-bound to move this quarter.

The print assessment inventories every device, pulls your real page volumes, and totals what you are currently paying across toner, service contracts, and leases. If the savings are not there for your environment, we will tell you that instead of selling you something.
Why Add Print to an IT Company?
Printers are one of the most common sources of help desk tickets and one of the least strategically managed pieces of equipment in most offices. They sit on your network, they touch sensitive documents, they hold data on internal drives, and they are frequently the oldest devices in the building. Treating them as somebody else's category never made much sense.
